On the evening of April 25th, the Taipei Web3 Night, a themed event co-hosted by CoinW and Certik commenced in Taipei. This gathering marked another successful meeting of Web3 professionals in Taiwan following the conclusion of the Taipei Ethereum Developers Conference. The event consisted of keynote speeches and roundtable forums, where CoinW engaged in fruitful discussions with nearly 150 attendees. The topics ranged from the application and security of Web3 in Taiwan to the challenges and obstacles that the Web3 ecosystem is currently facing in the region.

With the emergence of new technologies such as metaverse, virtual currency, and NFT, as well as the increasing maturity of blockchain and AI, Web3 has garnered attention outside of its initial circle, attracting the involvement of technology and internet giants. Taiwan boasts abundant technical talent and innovative capabilities, with a market that displays a strong willingness and tolerance for early adopters. When considering population, culture, and regulatory environment, Taiwan stands as an ideal environment for nurturing the Web3 ecosystem. Taking advantage of these strengths, ETH Taipei was held from April 21st to 25th in Taipei, with the participation of numerous internationally renowned developers and teams. Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum, served as the opening guest, sharing the latest future trends in blockchain, and highlighting Taiwan’s important position as a centre of blockchain technology.

The Taipei Web3 Night event succeeded in further promoting the popularity of Web3 in Taiwan. Paco, the director of business development of CoinW Taiwan, delivered a keynote speech at the event, sharing his insights on the future development trend of Web3, as well as introducing the ecological development of CoinW. Moreover, Man, the Marketing Director of CoinW Asia-Pacific Region, was invited to participate in the roundtable forum titled Building Trust in the Web3 Ecosystem. In this forum, Man engaged in several rounds of discussions with other guests on topics related to Trust in the Web3 Ecosystem.

According to Paco, the Director of Business Development at CoinW Taiwan, in the Asian market, Taiwan lags in Web3 development compared to Singapore, Hong Kong, and other countries and regions such as Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Nevertheless, Taiwan possesses the exceptional technical talent and a high degree of tolerance and acceptance of new concepts, along with academic and official support, creating an entrepreneur-friendly environment for Web3 that presents a significant advantage. With these strengths in mind, CoinW began laying the groundwork in the Taiwan market last year, strengthening talent and financial support in Taiwan, working to promote the development of Taiwan’s Web3 ecosystem, and amplifying Taiwan’s voice in the global Web3 field.

As a world-class comprehensive encrypted asset trading platform, CoinW has established 16 localized service centers in 13 countries and regions globally, including Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, India, among others. Chinese Taiwan is one of the most critical markets for CoinW. The company is optimistic about the development potential of Web3 in Taiwan, given its open and inclusive environment, innovative vitality, and global talent. In the future, CoinW plans to continue strengthening its investment and layout in Taiwan, foster cooperation with local high-quality projects, and provide better services for users in Chinese Taiwan.
