On January 8, 2023, the CoinW public welfare team and the caring members of the web3 Chinese community, a member of the CoinW Charity Public Welfare Alliance, arrived at the Pudong shelter base of Shanghai Ensi Nursing Garden with a batch of dog food, for more than 10,000 pet owners in the base. As the number of pets increases year by year, “sucking cats” and “stroking dogs” have become a daily routine for some people. But what follows is that the number of abandoned pets is increasing day by day. According to statistics, as of September 2022, the number of stray animals in China is 40 million, and it is increasing at a rate of 1.5 times every year. The worrisome living conditions of stray animals have become a social issue that has been widely discussed. Winter is the most severe survival test for stray animals. Severed cold, lack of food, and lack of water may make stray animals face the challenge of life and death. Therefore, caring for stray animals has also become a public welfare activity that individuals and enterprises pay attention to and actively participate in, in recent years.
The location of this public welfare activity is Baoen Temple Nursing Garden, which is located in Fengxian Qingcun Town, 50 kilometers away from the center of Shanghai. It is known that Master Zhixiang has been helping stray animals since 1993. In the past 30 years, he has rescued nearly 10,000 stray fur pets, giving these fur pets a second chance
This time, the public welfare team of CoinW did not only bring pet good, but also carried out voluntary service activities to Baoen Temple Nursing Garden. Everyone carried the donated dog food, helped clean the dog house, played with them and gave them feed, expressed their love for them with practical actions, and comforted the emotions of small animals.
